This eBook is the first publication of a “Story” written by an unknown Lieutenant in the Rainbow Division’s Fox Company of the 222nd Infantry, 42nd Division. This original document was recently found neatly folded in one of hundreds of letters Albert Cramer sent to his mother, Wanda V. Cramer, during World War II. The letters were dated from his enlistment at Jefferson Barracks on 29 October 1942 through 9 March 1946 when the unit was inactivated. The original typescript found is reproduced in Chapter 3. I have not been able to determine the author of this Story of the Fox Company Campaign. 

The “Story” covers the period from Fox Company’s first battle in January of 1945 trough the end of the war and the start of their Occupation of Austria in May of 1945.
