Corral, Just Tony, Law and Order, The Miracle Rider, My Darling Clementine, Mystery Mountain, The Oklahoma Kid, The Searchers, South of the Border, Stagecoach, Shane, The Stranger Wore a Gun, Zorro's Fighting Legion, etc., etc.), the author focuses on William Boyd (the entire 66 Hopalong Cassidy series), John Wayne, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Buck Jones and Alan Ladd. Finally, some of Hollywood's worst westerns are examined, leading off with Where Trails End (1942), Rogue of the Rio Grande (1930), Border Vengeance (1935) and even a disappointing Roy Rogers' effort, Under California Skies (1946).
